Wonderful

Haad Salad is a beautiful beach with lots of restaurants. The hotel and staff are very nice and accommodating. The cleaning staff bring fresh towels and were changing sheets appropriately. We stayed 12 nights. The pool was refreshing and clean and bright. It is cheaper to have the hotel order the taxi for you as apposed to trying to get your own taxi! We only ate at the restaurant once so can't really say much about that but others said it was good. AC in the room was nice and cool too. We had a bungalow with a deck in front if the pool. Room 207 was the most privacy I found in front of the pool as the bushes a more mature and floral trees adding also to privacy from pool area.

My only suggestion would be to have comfy cushions on the large hard bungalow deck chairs so you can be more comfy and sit outside longer. They were kind and brought us extra pillows to use. I found this hotel very open to suggestions and they respond quickly. I would stay again no problem.

Quiet and nice. Pretty clean and enjoyed both pool and beach.

Restaurants at the beach are lousy, all of them. Area is quiet but nothing to do if u don’t have scooter. Next “town” is super nice with great pizzeria loccos. And senses restaurant is great!!

Good value basic beachfront stay

Rooms were dated but still in good condition and comfortable. Grounds were nice set in gardens and nice seating areas. Right on the beach, massage on site.

Not a lot in the area so wouldn't have wanted to stay more than a couple of nights, no sun loungers on the beach. The restaurant was lacking any sort of appeal or atmosphere compared to the other hotels next to it.

Beautiful hotel at a nice and cozy beach with restaurants where you can have a table on the beach itself

In between a lot of plants and palm trees, resort right on the beach with own beachfront restaurant. Nice swimming pool, room with nice balcony.

Room a bit smelly but we slept with the balcony door open so it was fine.

Wonderful

Very helpful and friendly staff, easy access to a beach with clear water and a nice restaurant. This is ideal for people who want to relax during their stay and avoid tough decision making, as everything that you need is around the facilities. The hotel offers scooters for rent if you want to explore the island.

The rooms might need a bit of renovation, as they seem old fashioned.

A nice stay on our favourite beach on Phangan and a great pool

We returned to Salad Beach again this year after a great trip last year. We hadn’t stayed here before but it is a lovely resort if you are looking for something more than a basic bungalow. It’s the pool that really sells this place as it’s a lovely addition to have alongside the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful our whole stay and responded quickly to a small problem one of our friends had with the room. They also arranged any taxis we needed with no fuss Unfortunately we got one of the rooms right above reception, which whilst being perfectly comfy and adequate, wasn’t quite the same vibe as the bungalows down in the garden or pool so if we came again I would definitely make sure I booked one of them instead of just a standard room Overall though we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely think about it again if we come back to Salad.

It’s not that we didn’t like it, more a suggestion for the hotel. Compared with all the other restaurants and bars along the beach the hotel one was a little unloved it seemed. It was such a large space and with a few more fairly lights and lanterns etc it could be lovely. It’s just that it didn’t really inspire you to stay there of an evening so we mostly went elsewhere. What we did eat and drink was fine and the staff were great, it just looked a little bare!

Location and facilities.

The resort refused to give us second key. They also didn’t allow us to have have a key that unlocked the electricity in the room. So we were not able to charge any electronic devices while we were not in our room. The frequent switch of the electricity (while we come. in and out of the room) destroy some of our electronic devices (power bank and usb adapter charger) I reported it to the stuff but nothing was offer to compensate about of 150usd loss in damage devices. Despite that I Still recommend the place but electric situation and not being able to get the second key (if you’re couple or family) is something to be aware of.

The beds in the bungalow were superb, extremely comfortable, however the wooden sun loungers on the bungalow balcony are the most uncomfortable pieces of decking furniture imaginable with no cushions, we nick named them the 'rack'. We felt the restaurant is starting to look a little tired but we found the food excellent. There is a step down near the front of the restaurant looking out over the Bay which has no edge marking causing a lot of people to trip. We spent a month here so did notice people tripping.

Great place to stay for a few days to unwind. Definitely would stay only in the villa next time.

Beach front and restaurant. TK was an incredible waiter. The little villas looked good.

The hotel rooms were pretty bare and the entrance to them was at a back staircase. Very basic.
